ABOUT US
We are a company dedicated to providing insights and initiatives in an ever changing (business) world.
Helena Consulting Pty Ltd was founded on 30th October 2002 with the vision of promoting the well being of people, groups and businesses holistically.
We work with people who have quantitatively achieved a certain living and working standard, and are now motivated to improve the quality of their personal as well as professional life. We take 30 plus years of business experience and spiritual learning and apply them to the place where the majority of adults spend much of their waking time, the work place.
We assist you as an organisation and as an individual to:
- reach your full potential
- be in charge of your life instead of life being in charge you
- understand and embrace change
- develop initiatives that come out of insights when dynamics in the system you belong to are uncovered
Our passion is to contribute to a business world that is more effective, more fun and, above all, more human.

Preeti Helena is passionate about people. She facilitates transformation processes for individuals and teams, and has worked with a multitude of groups from many different cultures and backgrounds, including indigenous Australians. A teacher by nature, Preeti’s focus is on what makes a person, or a team, excel – and how complex situations can be moved towards success. She references the bigger picture, the human system – the organisation, whilst working with the individual, and facilitates collaboration and rewarding interpersonal dynamics in groups.
Preeti’s approach is ‘personal inquiry’, in both her own inner-journey as well as when supporting others in finding their true self. She has put herself through a lot of ‘personal growth’ processes and has learned what works! Through her training and experience, coupled to a certain aptitude and presence, she quickly acquires an understanding of a client’s requirements, environment, culture and habits. Her focus, on a balanced outcome, addresses insight (understanding), feeling (experiencing) and action (behaving). This results in readily established trust with participants. You will find the experience of working with her enriching – and most likely, life changing.
Preeti’s qualifications include a master’s degree in counselling and bachelor’s degree in teaching. She is an internationally certified master-trainer in Human System Constellations, accredited Team Management Profile trainer, an Open Space Technology facilitator and has a strong understanding of experiential group process, including Dialog, Appreciative Inquiry, NLP and solution-oriented approaches.
On the other side of the scale, Preeti brings extensive experience of corporate change and the transformation it brings to individuals and the workplace. She has been pivotal in a number of major IT projects involving change processes, knowledge management, course development and training.
A published author, her body of work includes her dissertation on career development ‘An Exploration of Career Issues Using the Systemic Structural Constellation Approach’ (2005) – available to all registrants of the e-newsletter at this website and two compendiums on organisational development processes, published in German, "Fit for Change II" (2009) and “Fit for EQ2” (2011).
The founder and co-owner of Helena Consulting Pty Ltd, an ‘organisation for the development of insights and initiatives for organisations in change’, Preeti is also a cofounder of Constellants, a network of consultants who use System Constellations in an organisational context. In addition she is the founder of the Systemic Awareness Institute, an organisation to promote and teach System Constellations, and the Australian representative of Infosyon, a global professional association for practitioners of constellations in an organisational context. Preeti is a member of the Fellowship of Southern Lights.
Swiss born, Preeti has lived in Australia for over 20 years. She is married, has meditation as a core value in her life and loves the great outdoors, bushwalking, skiing and mountain biking. As a multilingual, yet predominantly visual person, her mind can occasionally get ahead of her tongue – but what follows any such pause is likely to contain true insight.
Malcolm Duffield joined Helena Consulting in 2005.
Malcolm is a business innovator, combining the strong understanding of technology of a graduate Applied Physicist with twenty five years of business experience gained in senior sales and management roles with the following: British Telecom, Motorola, Intergraph, Wang, CSC, KPMG, SAP and NAB.
A strong communicator, courtesy of an earlier career in advertising, Malcolm has developed and delivered many powerful technology based, business-oriented value propositions to companies such as AMP, American Express, BHP-Billiton, Boeing, National Australia Bank, Optus, Telstra, Victorian Government, Westpac and the like, both here in Australia and overseas. Throughout his career he has developed a keen awareness of the human factors effecting the success, or otherwise, of change-oriented technology projects and now incorporates this with Preeti Helena’s systemic constellation work.
Malcolm has developed hardware, software and service products, often as complex combinative collections of technologies and processes that provide high internal leverage of technology whilst empowering the user. As a result of this work, he has a thorough appreciation of the role of stakeholder management in pan-organisational change.
Malcolm has extensive experience as a ‘contract fire-fighter’ – responsible for repairing client relationships and resolving longstanding contractual and technical issues, and he has the necessary emotional intelligence and political awareness to defuse the most contentious of situations. Presently working on a major Whole of Government IT consolidation - transforming departmental IT from a 'builder of IT' to a 'purchaser of IT services' and designing enterprise constructs that address the broad needs of government and that can be delivered as services rather than systems (outcomes rather than means).
